MENTOR
High School volunteers are a key component of the Coastal SNAP Program. The relationships formed between athletes and student mentors, both on the field and in the community, are what make Coastal SNAP a successful, enriching experience for all.

Key Responsibilities:

Supporting athletes during each session
-
Helping the athlete during directions or group drills
-
Promoting fun and fitness
-
Modeling social skills and behaviors
-
Being a buddy to the athlete
Time Commitment:

8 weeks, one hour per week on the weekend and a 1 hour training session.

COACH
The Coach serves as the leader/teacher of the group sport. The Coach is responsible for creating drills and games for the designated sport, providing support to the student mentors, and the athletes.

Key Responsibilities:

Creation of drills for practices

Teaching and supporting the athletes through the drills

Promoting fun and fitness
-
Modeling social skills and behaviors
-
Monitor behaviors to ensure safety and inclusion of all
Time Commitment:

8 weeks, one hour per week on the weekend, time to create drills and a 1 hour training session.

COMMUNITY
We welcome community members to volunteer at Coastal SNAP programs in a number of ways:

seeking sponsorship's and donations

event set up and clean up
Coastal SNAP is a growing non-profit and we are always interested in new board members.
